Edward Ernest Heesaker

April 28, 1927 ~ May 12, 2010

Ed passed away at the Boyne Lodge in Carman on May 12, 2010 at the age of 83 years.

Ed was born in Million, Manitoba on April 28, 1927.  He is survived by his sister Carrie Creighton of Vanderhoof, BC, brothers Eugene Heesaker of Toronto, ON, and Arthur Heesaker of Winnipeg, MB.  He is also survived by his friend Doris Wildfang of many years, and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Dorothy Lucking, brother Albert Heesaker, and his parents Jake and Mary Heesaker.

Ed came to Carman in 1958 where he worked at Laycock’s potato farm for over 18 years, and drove a bus for the Midland School Division for 17 years, retiring in 1992.  Ed was a very active bowler and pool player.  He was always known as a handyman, cutting lawns and fixing things for people around Carman.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 14, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Doyle’s Funeral Chapel, Carman.  Interment will follow in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
