Dorothy Edna Lily Fry

On Thursday, January 1, 2009 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, Dorothy Fry, aged 94 years, of Carman, beloved wife of the late William Fry.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Ray (Tina) Fry, Lionel (Elsie) Fry, Edna Morrison, Ruth Amell, Stan Fry, Doreen (Larry) Woods, and Gordon (Karen) Fry, as well as 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William Fry and three brothers.

Mom grew up in the Miami and Opawaka district. She married William Fry in 1933 and raised their seven children in the Miami, Stephenfield and Carman districts. She spent her last days in the Boyne Lodge in Carman.

Funeral service was held on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Carman United Church with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Interment took place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. Memorial donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 730 Taylor Ave., Winnipeg, MB. R3M 2K8, or to a charity of one’s choice.
